now is it just me, but isn't the picture of the little boy trying to rescue his ball from out of a pond just a little weird?
Children are such wonderful, perfect little people.
To be fair - I think the image is trying to point out that without proper guidance and care, one can fall into an area of danger.
It is an unfortunate choice of image (possibly), considering the likelyhood of a child of that age involving itself without pressure in immoral sexual activity.
Not sure about "perfect little people" - some are foul-natured little imps

it's a simulated discussion about the watchtower's main anti-trinity booklet named, should you believe in the trinity.
the purpose of the article is not to validate or discredit the trinity, but solely to examine the watchtower's literary honesty or dishonesty.
God has ownership over all parts of this creation in my view. I also believe that we exist within God, yes, all matter - all energy.
Jesus is the very utterance of Jehovah, his word. Jehovah has ownership over his word and the spirit is the means by which almighty God affects the physical creation.
I believe that God is one and has ownership over everything that goes outwards towards creation. I do not personally see God as being divided within himself into 3 distinct units. Simply one unit, that extends outwards in whichever way he chooses.
This is ultimately just another feeble debate that divides us from his love and each other.
It is well known that the triangle has been used amongst pagans for many millennia. One could assume that this is to form the basis of counterfeit worship, or, one could assume that this sacred geometry is being twisted to insult the oneness of the almighty God.
Whatever - have a good day - keep on loving each other.
i was talking with my mother-in-law this evening and came upon an intriguing thought.
it's less stressful now that i'm not expected to judge other people.
i know we're all human and still do judge other people even subconsciously - but i mean, not being expected to pigeon-hole individuals into categories.
I think judgement is a necessary part of our lives, to help us determine right from wrong and that goes for judging those around us as well. We are enabled to determine our association via our judgement.
Although having said all of that, your "average" witness judges the "world" far too harshly IMO and appears to overlook compassion towards others and instead takes a "holier-than-thou" attitude.
One lesson of the scriptures for me, is that basically our works are generally lacking, regardless, across the board. One can polish the outer shell and stop commiting the obvious sins in this present world, like fornication, adultery, etc - BUT, inwardly we all make errors daily, regardless of our faith or involvement with whichever religion we choose. In that sense, we are all the same and to me there is no division between any of us in that respect.
"Undeserved" kindness applies equally to one of Jehovah's Witnesses, as it does to any other man walking this earth.

That's me as well. I have always considered it a burden and have tried to destroy my finer (sensitive) qualities. It is only in recent times that I have been forced into a new realm of personal acceptance.

I have always wondered about Jesus as being "the word of God" and as we speak naturally, we form the word and project it. Jesus was the first utterance of God and the tool that helped craft the universe. In a way, we also define our universe by the use of language.
Just a thought.
Also, the Gospels reveal Jesus as refering to his father and it seems to me that the two are seperate and have rank.

I have just read that passage several times and all I see is that Jesus is explaining to the grumbling disciples, that if they truly believe and have faith in him, then they will never hunger. He provides two profound examples to support his argument. Although he does not directly refer to faith, it appears to be the lesson to me.
There may well be a hidden numerical reference buried within. There often is.
If you divide "7" into "4", you get "0.5714285". Drop the "0" and take the "7" numbers and add them together. That brings you to "32". Path 32? Ask an occultist what that means - speculative, maybe.

Although I am not a betting man, I would hazard a guess that part of your brain has reasoned that the comfy ride and good tidings may be part of Satan's plan to ease you away from the organization and into a life that is diametrically opposed to your former pathway?
we all know that the wts continous to spew nonsense about "satan and his hordes" and how they are always on the prowl trying to attack loyal dubs and stear them away from the troof.
my parents are hard core dub zealots still very much in the org.my mom will not hesitate to toss an inanimate object in the garbage if she suspects that it is "possesed".

i work with someone who is df'ed, actually my cousin.
he is trying to get reinstated.
we got into a semi-heated discussion and i gave him a lot of my anti-wt viewpoints, trying to get him to think for himself.
It is a strait-jacket for some and a liberator for others. Depends upon how you deal with the institution. Or indeed any institution. If a man or woman can use it is a vehicle for their own Christian righteousness, then it may serve it's purpose well.
I have a friend who is on the outside and he "had" been involved for nearly 27 years as a servant. His mind will not leave him alone and for the sake of his sanity, I hope he goes back. He has no coping mechanism in place and no perception of Christianity beyond the JW organization.
It is hideous to observe.
